Job Description Summary

Are you energized by navigating complex regulatory requirements, coordinating across multiple stakeholders, and serving as the critical link that keeps business moving forward? The Sr Case Advocate, New Business - Annuity is responsible for validating key demographic data, documenting all In Good Order (IGO) underwriting requirements, and maintaining regulatory oversight through effective suspense management. This role ensures applications move efficiently through the pipeline while adhering to suitability standards, documentation requirements, and annuity pricing protocols. Serving as the primary communicator of IGO requirements, the Sr Case Advocate directs requests to agents, distributors, and internal stakeholders to achieve timely and accurate resolution.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives new business application underwriting and set up.

  • Navigates complex underwriting, regulatory, compliance, and product specific requirements.

  • Accountable for safeguarding the integrity of the underwriting process and supports a smooth, customer centered annuity experience.

  • Accountable for In Good Order (IGO) requirements identification.

  • IGO Requirements Communication.

  • Maintains communication and NIGO Resolution with Business Partners.

  • Accountable for managing all follow up.

  • Creates and sends Letter of Acceptance.

  • Responsible for vouchering, processing and applying funds for all financial transactions.

  • Responsible for suspense management in accord with FINRA/SEC regulations.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager or Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business field or related experience.

Experience: 2 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Working knowledge of annuity product types, features, benefits, state availability, and pricing drivers. Understanding of underwriting risk indicators, IGO standards, and case setup dependencies. Knowledge of how demographic data, ownership structures, and producer information affect underwriting and pricing. Proficiency with underwriting workflow tools, case management platforms, and policy administration systems. Understanding of suspense management processes, documentation workflows, and audit requirements.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resource Business Partner.
