Job Description Summary:

This position ensures the delivery of services for his/her areas of responsibility. The Administrative Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the delivery of care by an interdisciplinary team. He/She is accountable for the administrative and fiscal management of the assigned areas. He/She works closely with the Director in obtaining department goals and objectives.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Administrative Management Oversight: Assumes 24 hour accountability for ongoing delivery of patient care within assigned business line, ensures patient needs are being met in accordance with instructions of physician and administrative procedures. Develops, coordinates and evaluates business line performance process improvement programs in order to meet patient outcomes and regulatory measures. Plans clinical consulting services to support desirable clinical outcomes both during interdisciplinary team meetings and follow-up Meetings to assure patient/family needs are met.

Operations: Develops budgeted staffing plans. Develops, maintains, and evaluates effectiveness of plans in provision of care. Defines and interprets goals and objectives of services and policies of OhioHealth Home Care. Consults with Operations Director and Medical Director in establishment of patient/family policies. Directs collection, analysis, and interpretation of statistics significant to program planning. Engages in studies and investigations related to improving clinical care and, with assistance of interdisciplinary teams, plans, initiates, and evaluates changes in clinical processes. Ensures the provision of qualified human resources to meet identified patient/family care needs; develops and coordinates staffing models considering scope of practice, competency, and patient needs. Responsible for the recruitment, selection, retention, and evaluation of personnel. Ensures appropriate orientation, training, and professional development of personnel. Promotes working relationships with referral sources and with other interdependent OhioHealth departments. Ensures compliance with appropriate regulations and standards of care and quality: Medicare, Joint Commission, et. al. Participates in strategic planning. Works collaboratively with OhioHealth Home Care leadership team and health care system to achieve organization goals. Provides administrative on-call services.

Leadership: Provides input into executive level planning and decisions. Facilitates environment of servant leadership and customer service. Plans and directs project management activities; working with other departments within Home Care, OhioHealth, and Process Excellence. Actively participates in Home Care, business line, departmental and system activities. Develops and maintains professional relationships. Actively works with associates to develop goals and strategies for professional development

Medical Records Management: Assures adequate record keeping and documentation to meet standards, auditing and utilization review of all aspects of clinical activities. Analyzes patient data for reimbursement, quality of patient care, risk management, utilization management, and research. Develops and implements policies and procedures for documenting, storing, and retrieving information, and processing medical and legal documents, insurance data, and correspondence requests, in conformance with federal, state, and local statues. Participates in the development of educational materials and conducts instructional programs for personnel regarding documentation. Participates in development and design of computer software for computerized health information system. Supervises staff in preparing and analyzing clinical documents.

Field of Study: Business, Healthcare Administration, or other healthcare related field
Field of Study: or preparation as required by specialty
Field of Study: Licensed in the state of Ohio for appropriate field
Years of experience: 3 -5 yrs. mgmt exp in a healthcare environment
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Advanced training in specialty area or further or Experience in leadership.
