Ohio Department of Public Safety - Bureau of Motor Vehicles/International Registration Plan
Report in Location: 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
***This position is currently remote (work from home) but can be subject to change to regular, in-office work***

What You'll Do as an Administrative Officer 1
• Within the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), acts as Assistant Chief of the International Registration Plan (IRP) Section by planning, directing & coordinating all activities related to daily customer interactions, application processing & compliance of federal programs:
• Organizes & coordinates activities & initiatives pertaining to federal compliance programs (i.e., IRP Plan Compliance & Federal Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) compliance);
• Researches & analyzes programmatic issues & data to provide recommendations based on operational procedures; Provides technical advice to aid Administrator &/or BMV senior staff in decision making;
• Serves as liaison & primary point of communication between Administrator & all internal &/or external stakeholders;
• Analyzes, develops & implements new program policies, operational procedures & best practices; Interprets federal, state &/or local laws to ensure policies & procedures are in compliance; Communicates policy updates to all stakeholders.

Qualifications
Option 1
24 mos. exp. in administrative, management or supervisory position.
Option 2
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration or closely related area.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
