Responsibilities and Duties

  • Management of the overall system of support and services provided to individuals served
  • Personnel management and coordination of service delivery
  • Communicating and working collaboratively with Scheduling and Operations
  • Monitoring individual's finances and benefits
  • Use behavioral health interventions to improve outcomes for individuals served
  • Managing a caseload and coordinating the care of individuals served
  • Engage with families/guardians of clients in an effective manner to ensure best in class care
  • Follow all Policies/Procedures of Independent Beginnings LLC
  • Hold certifications that are required by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) rules and regulations
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisory staff

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED is required, four-year degree in social services or related field is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A personal vehicle that is well maintained
  • Must have a valid driver's license with 5 points or less
  • Personal vehicle insurance
  • Must have criminal record that qualifies you for developmental disability employment, based on the Ohio Revised Code
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities preferably within residential services may be preferred but is not required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Displays strong communication skills and possess excellent decision-making and time-management skills.
  • Experience working with individual service plans (ISPs) or behavior support plans (BSPs) preferred but not required
