Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential for managing these interactions effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Program Coordinator or Program Manager, and why are they important?

Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Program Manager serves as the strategic and operational cornerstone for one of Hy-Tek's most important client accounts. This role owns the full lifecycle of complex, multi-workstream deployments - from planning and resource alignment through successful execution - while serving as the primary bridge between Hy-Tek's internal teams and the client's leadership. This role will collaborate with Hy-Tek leadership, Account Manager, OEM partners, and the client.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
  • Provide overall direction and leadership to cross-functional teams of technicians, parts support, coordinators, and delivery drivers supporting assigned client programs.
  • Serve as the senior point of accountability for all project deliveries within the assigned account portfolio.
  • Act as a lead within projects as needed, providing coaching, and mentoring to develop team capability.

Client Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with the client's dedicated Account Manager plan and sequence multiple concurrent project opportunities and active workstreams.
  • Evaluate and prioritize equipment repair and planned maintenance cycles based on client needs, organizational impact, and team bandwidth.
  • Manage work in process for all repairs and planned maintenance services.
  • Assure both on site & ordered replacement parts inventories are servicing the client at the highest possible service level.
  • Maintain 100% uptime of equipment to the client.
  • Communicate status of all equipment repairs and planned maintenance services to client contacts on a daily/per shift basis.
  • Review and advise on lowering operating costs on the client's fleet.
  • Manage technicians and coordinators on site at multiple locations and shifts.
  • Regularly communicate program performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management and key stakeholders.

Execution & Performance Management
  • Monitor all repairs against established baselines and proactively pursue opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage program budgets with transparency and accuracy, keeping stakeholders informed at every stage.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early, preventing minor issues from escalating into program-level problems.

Collaboration & Integration
  • Foster strong collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and remove obstacles.
  • Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems.
  • Implement service and operations strategies that measurably improve communication, service quality, and client satisfaction.

Compliance & Quality
  • Coordinate and enforce adherence to all product safety requirements, quality standards, and technical compliance obligations across applicable industry and regulatory specifications.

- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 10+ years of experience in the material handling industry or related industrial field with a demonstrated focus on continuous improvement, communications, and successful client interaction.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills; thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Self-directed and highly accountable - capable of operating with minimal supervision at a senior level of responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Working Conditions:
  • Travel to client sites and Hy-Tek offices as required.
  • Work performed across office, warehouse, and active manufacturing environments.
  • May involve extended periods in a stationary position, walking, or sitting.
  • Potential exposure to noise levels exceeding standard DBA thresholds; appropriate PPE provided.
