Job description

As a Production Scheduler you play a critical support role within the Scheduling Department by preparing and coordinating Manufacturing Orders (MOs) to ensure efficient production flow and on-time delivery. This position works closely with Sales, Production, and Inventory teams to confirm material availability, prepare order documentation, and support production scheduling priorities.
This role is essential in ensuring accurate order preparation, strong communication between departments, and overall operational efficiency.
Hours 7am-4pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Order Preparation and Coordination
  • Prepare and release Manufacturing Orders in alignment with production schedules and customer requirements
  • Assign order dates based on lead times and Sales priorities
  • Review and prepare required drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Create and maintain item routings and process modifications
  • Verify inventory availability within the system and perform physical inventory verification when needed
Sales and Production Coordination
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales and Production teams
  • Process order cancellations and schedule adjustments
  • Coordinate and prioritize expedited orders
  • Provide updates on order status and production progress
  • Help resolve scheduling and material availability issues
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across departments
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn scheduling and inventory systems within a 6-month training period
  • Production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory flow, and production scheduling
  • Experience with AS-400, MAPICS, or other ERP systems
