At Lubrizol, we're bringing to life the chemistry behind clean water, efficient transportation, reliable infrastructure, critical medicines, and the products people rely on every day through science, sustainability, and a culture of inclusion.

As part of our global team, you'll be empowered to make a real impact - on your career, your community, and the world around you.

NA Account Manager - Engineered Polymers

How You'll Make an Impact

As an Account Manager you'll play a critical, relationship-focused role responsible for growing, supporting, and strengthening our North America Estane TPU business. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers-deeply understanding their applications, identifying opportunities for value creation, and guiding them toward solutions that leverage Lubrizol's engineered polymer technologies.

The Account Manager will own a portfolio of strategic accounts, expand our presence in key markets, and uncover new opportunities by translating customer needs into actionable growth strategies. This role is ideal for a sales professional who is entrepreneurial, consultative, technically curious, and motivated by building longterm customer partnerships that drive measurable business results.

In this role, you will excel in:

Account Management & Customer Growth

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of accounts by building strong, longterm relationships across customer organizations.
  • Develop strategic account plans that align customer needs with Lubrizol's value proposition, technology roadmap, and growth priorities.
  • Maintain and expand business within existing accounts while actively identifying crosssell and upsell opportunities.

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify, evaluate, and activate new business opportunities that support the Estane TPU growth strategy.
  • Develop gotomarket strategies that address emerging market needs and drive new revenue streams.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent opportunity development and progression.

Consultative Selling & Technical Partnership

  • Become a subject matter expert in TPU materials, applications, and industry dynamics.
  • Educate customers on technology capabilities, market trends, and application insights through presentations, technical discussions, and collaborative sessions.
  • Partner closely with R&D, marketing, and technical service teams to deliver customerfocused solutions.

Market Insight & Strategic Influence

  • Maintain deep awareness of competitive activity, market shifts, and customer program developments.
  • Provide insights to internal stakeholders on product needs, pricing strategies, market conditions, and customer expectations.
  • Make recommendations on product mix, sourcing, and commercial strategies; negotiate agreements to closure.

CrossFunctional Collaboration & Customer Support

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer programs are supported from concept through commercialization.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, technical service, and other partners to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Travel to customer sites to strengthen relationships and support key initiatives.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with demonstrated success in account management or business development.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward

  • Experience in technical or engineered material sales, specifically in a B2B environment.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.

Your Work Environment

At Lubrizol, when you're not on the road, we're committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where you can do your best work-whether in a lab, on the production floor, or in a hybrid office setting. Depending on your role, your work environment may include:

  • Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods
  • Working in a lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided
  • Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment
  • Occasional lifting or movement of materials
  • Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards

We continuously invest in our facilities and technologies to ensure they support your well-being, productivity, and growth. If you require reasonable accommodation, we are committed to working with you to ensure an inclusive and accessible experience.

Benefits that Empower You

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonus plans
  • 401(k) match + Age-Weighted Defined Contribution
  • Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
