Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care from admission through postpartum recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of laboring patients, including cervical exams, contraction pattern analysis, and continuous fetal heart rate monitoring.
  • Monitor fetal well-being and maternal health, promptly notifying physicians of any concerns.
  • Administer medications such as oxytocin, epidurals, and pain management protocols in accordance with established guidelines, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Assist during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, supporting both the clinical environment and neonatal stabilization at birth.
  • Provide immediate postpartum care, focusing on uterine assessment, hemorrhage prevention, and supporting newborn bonding through skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding initiation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and interventions.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery or perinatal nursing experience.
  • Current, compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
  • Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in fetal monitoring technology and obstetric protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

Shift & Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
