Job Description

Under direct supervision of a Program Manager, conducts process observations to determine engineered labor standards. Evaluates efficient sequence of operations/workflow and recommends improvements to operational processes to maximize utilization of facilities and personnel. Implements Performance Tracking systems across variety of operations. Performs site audits, reporting, and project management. Conducts training classes and workshops on Continuous Improvement, Performance Tracking, Resource Planning, and other Resource Management tools. Responsible for the primary training of Performance Engineers for program. Responsible for the identification, prioritization, and detailed operational implementation of Continuous Improvement activity using LEAN, Six Sigma, IT and engineering tools. Supports the transfer of skills while working with operations and providing support to ensure successful implementation of concepts identified as adding value to the business and customer.

Responsibilities

Develops project timelines, ensures milestone achievement, and provides direction to Performance Engineers involved in field activities related to site implementations.

Implements Resource Management Suite of tools including Performance Tracking Systems and engineered labor standards in company sites.

Conducts process observations and methods analysis in support of engineered standards development.

Trains site management, supervisors, and super-users on Resource Management tools usage including Performance Tracking Systems. Demonstrates methods to utilize Performance Tracking Systems to optimize operating potential.

Trains, supports, and provides guidance to Performance Engineers.

Performs LMS system integration testing and resolves issues.

Perform site audits to ensure compliance with system requirements and evaluate opportunities for improvement.

Works with operations teams to identify improvements in productivity, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction. Identifies potential projects, assesses feasibility, and participates in implementing solutions.

Creates, maintains, and distributes weekly and monthly project documentation.

Facilitates monthly project reviews.

Partners with operational associates, site champions, and site management to ensure successful implementation of projects and identified process improvements.

Champion best practice sharing during the deployment of workshop action planning activity.

Provide analytical, design and technical support on projects.

Assists on special technical projects

Interact with other Operations Excellence team members and operational resources

Databases, information technology, spreadsheets, and related information.

Resource Management Systems

Provides recommendations to management on site operational improvements to optimize profit and increase efficiency.

Responsible for Performance Tracking implementation activities for operations

Determination of modifications and maintenance to engineered standards for existing sites

Develops project timelines, ensures milestone achievement, and provides direction to Performance Engineers involved in field activities related to site implementations.

Travel 50%-75% throughout the year depending on projects.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in operations, logistics, distribution, or transportation
  • 2-3 year of time study, industrial engineering, operational analysis, or relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in engineering/standard, Resource Management program, or industrial engineering, or relevant experience.
