Job Title: Physician 
Specialty: Internal medicine, Family medicine, or Emergency medicine
Location: London OH 43140
Duration: 4 Months to Long term
Hours/Week: 20 Hours/Week
Summary:
Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and is experienced in primary care to provide part-time on-site services for the male population at this facility. The schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays - and is flexible based on the facility's needs. The selected physician will see approximately 2.5 patients/per hour. The assignment may last at least 4 months and could possibly lead to permanent hire if there is a mutually good fit. A phone interview and on-site meeting/tour at the facility will be required. 
Job description: 
  • Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
  • Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
  • Managing medication
  • Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
  • Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
  • Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
  • Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
  • Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
  • Caseload: Up to 2.5 patients/hour
