Position: Director of Operations

Position Summary:


The Director of Operations provides leadership for the district's non-instructional operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality services that support students, families, and staff. This position oversees admissions and enrollment, business operations, food services, student records, administrative support, operational systems, and facilities. Working closely with the Executive Director, Business Manager, and leadership team, the Director develops efficient processes, ensures compliance, promotes exceptional customer service, and aligns operations with the district's strategic priorities.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise admissions, enrollment, marketing, business operations, food services, student records, health services, and administrative support staff.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational systems and procedures that increase efficiency, consistency, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, onboarding, and retention while creating a positive experience for students and families.
  • Partner with the Business Manager and leadership team to oversee purchasing, contracts, operational budgets, and business services.
  • Ensure student records are accurate, secure, and compliant with all state and federal reporting, records retention, and data privacy requirements.
  • Oversee food service operations and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Lead operational planning that supports district growth, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish performance measures, monitor departmental effectiveness, analyze operational data, and recommend improvements.Oversee the maintenance, safety, and daily operations of physical facilities to ensure a productive and secure environment for all employees.
  • Coordinate cross-department initiatives, serve as a member of the executive leadership team, and lead special projects that advance district goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required.
  • Experience in school operations, business management, educational administration, or a related leadership role preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to lead multiple departments, manage competing priorities, and build collaborative teams.
  • Strong customer service orientation with experience improving systems, workflows, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, purchasing, student information systems, operational compliance, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and effectively use technology to support district operations.


Salary: Commensurate with experience
