Research Senior Associate - Comprehensive Cancer Center

Dr. Chandler's Laboratory, situated within The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) is devoted to understanding how dysregulation of RNA processing contributes to cancer development and therapeutic resistance. Our research centers on defining the mechanisms that control alternative pre-mRNA splicing of oncogenes, signaling molecules, and immune regulators, and on leveraging these pathways for therapeutic intervention across multiple cancer types, including liver and breast cancer. Using molecular, genomic, and in vivo approaches, we develop splice-modulating strategies, such as splice-switching oligonucleotides, to restore tumor suppressor activity and disrupt oncogenic signaling networks.
We're looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Research Associate at OSUCCC. Your role will be pivotal in several significant research projects in Cancer Biology. You'll collaborate closely with the lab staff so strong organizational and communication skills are crucial. Adaptability to new technologies and a fast-paced work environment is a must. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to major research papers and participate in national and international conferences.
Minimum Education and Skills/Experience Required/Desired
Master's Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree. Considerable experience in a biological/health research capacity is required. A Doctoral degree in an appropriate biological/health science field is desirable.
