Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN)
Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)
Work Type: Contract
Positions: 1
Hours: 36-40 Hours per Week
Shift Details
• Shift: Variable (Days / Evenings)
• Schedule: 8 / 10 / 12-hour shifts
• Call Requirement:
• Monday - Friday: 9:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Weekends (Sat/Sun): 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Holiday / weekend coverage required based on unit needs
The Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) is responsible for providing perioperative nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma, 18-bed Operating Room environment.
This role involves supporting a wide range of surgical specialties while ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile environments, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary surgical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Procedures
• Provide nursing care during surgical procedures
• Perform circulating duties in the operating room
• Assist in complex surgical cases
Surgical Specialties Exposure
• Orthopedic
• Neurosurgery / Spine
• General Surgery
• Robotic / Laparoscopic
• ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, Transplant
Patient Care & Safety
• Ensure patient safety and maintain sterile environment
• Monitor patient condition during procedures
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
Documentation & Records
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Utilize EPIC EMR system
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room RN experience
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, Burns
• Experience in high-acuity surgical environments
• Strong multi-specialty OR experience
