Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room position in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and active OH or compact RN licensure.

Details
  • 18-bed Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
  • Surgical specialties include General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
  • Primary circulating focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
  • Variable shift position with days, evenings, 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
  • On-call required Monday–Friday 2100–0630, Saturday and Sunday 0630–1900 and 1900–0630
  • Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
  • Epic EMR used for patient charting
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active OH RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma center experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Epic experience required
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
Additional Information
  • Circulate during surgical procedures with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery
  • Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, or Burns is preferred
  • All candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon accepting an offer; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a packet to complete urgently
  • Former employees of the facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • RTO must be requested at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
  • Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase through CampusParc, ranging from on-site garage access to surface lot options with shuttle service to the medical center
