Responsibilities
  • Assist with all phases of family law litigation from initial case development through resolution
  • Attend and appear in court for hearings and other legal proceedings with guidance and mentorship from experienced attorneys
  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery, and other legal documents while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Develop the ability to effectively articulate legal concepts through strong verbal and written communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation, hearings, and trials
  • Learn and apply strategic litigation approaches through collaboration with experienced attorneys
  • Maintain organized case files and meet deadlines using the firms technology and established systems
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and develop strong client service skills
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff in a team-oriented environment focused on growth and excellence

Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio or awaiting Ohio Bar Admission
  • One (1) year of legal experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and producing high- quality work
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Passion for litigation, courtroom advocacy, and helping clients navigate complex family law matters
