Job description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role manages key accounts for the AutoChem Product Portfolio, aligning solutions with customer business drivers in chemical, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries. You can be located anywhere in the US. Responsibilities include coordinating resources, driving proactive account growth through visits, seminars, cross-divisional collaboration, and managing site-wide initiatives using CRM tools. The ideal candidate is motivated, customer-focused, and skilled in leading diverse teams to achieve strategic growth.
  • Develop, update, and execute Strategic Site Penetration Plans (SPP) for key accounts in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Proactively grow business by addressing technical needs and application challenges through pre- and post-sale activities.
  • Conduct targeted campaigns with Inside Sales and Account Managers to identify and develop sales opportunities for AutoChem products, bringing them to technical close.
  • Plan and lead in-person visits, seminars, co-visits, and training sessions to build strong customer relationships and demonstrate value.
  • Coordinate local and national resources-including Inside Sales, Account Managers, management, technical teams, and marketing-to support account growth and customer success.
  • Provide technical consultative support during sales, including seminars, training, consulting, and Application Feasibility Tests (AFTs).
  • Develop deep product and application expertise, including knowledge of competitive technologies, to serve as a recognized expert.
  • Support regional marketing program development and collaborate with Marketing Communications and the territory team to organize Infoday events.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer from research and technical publications to product management.
  • Identify and execute Strategic Value Stories with key contacts in accounts, promoting the AFT process with reports and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate sales data and activities in SAP and CRM daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Master's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field required. PhD preferred. MBA or other business degrees are also an asset.
  • Five (5) years of experience in sales, marketing, laboratory, business development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additional experience with in-situ analytical technology, Process Analytical Technology; PAT, such as FTIR, Raman, preferred
  • Experience in crystallization, particle engineering, process development, Process Analytical Technology, pharmaceutical industry, specialty chemicals, particle characterization (FBRM, PVM)
  • Open and effective communication style, excellent public presentation skills, strong people skills, cross-organizational teamwork and the ability to interact with and influence the direction of key opinion leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a cooperative, team environment and focus on individual, time dependent projects with minimal direct supervision Analytical, assertiveness, creativity and effective problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite tools
