Job description

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and lead construction projects with a strong emphasis on masonry, façade restoration, and historic preservation. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with deep knowledge of building envelope systems, structural masonry, and restoration practices who can successfully manage projects from preconstruction through completion. Client Details Family-owned, Midwest-based general contractor with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and long-term client relationships. Known for delivering complex commercial, healthcare, and restoration projects with a hands-on, collaborative approach. Strong focus on technical excellence in masonry, façade systems, and building envelope restoration. Committed to craftsmanship, attention to detail, and preserving the integrity of existing structures. Description Manage all phases of construction projects, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout Lead projects focused on masonry restoration, tuckpointing, façade repair, waterproofing, and structural rehabilitation Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams Oversee subcontractor procurement and performance, particularly masonry and restoration trades Conduct site visits to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to design specifications Identify and proactively resolve project risks and field issues Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA safety regulations, and restoration best practices Mentor and support project engineers and junior staff Profile Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5-10+ years of project management experience in commercial construction Strong background in masonry, façade restoration, or historic preservation projects (REQUIRED) Proven experience managing self-performed work or specialty subcontractors in masonry trades Exceptional understanding of building envelope systems, waterproofing, and structural repair techniques Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Experience with historic landmark renovations or adaptive reuse projects Knowledge of stone restoration, brick repair, and concrete rehabilitation OSHA 30 certification LEED accreditation or sustainability experience (a plus) Job Offer Competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k) Opportunity to work on high-profile masonry and restoration projects Collaborative, growth-oriented team environment MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
