Job description

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that give customers continual access to innovation. We solve complex problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.


You'll join software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other essential roles. You'll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest cost for customers.
In this role, you will:
Work with our data center design engineering teams, network new product team, and construction teams to integrate quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll participate in design reviews, page turns, and Building Information Modeling reviews for Basis of Design documents and construction drawing sets, providing Quality Assurance representation to ensure standards are met from concept through construction. You'll influence design teams, construction partners, and other stakeholders to adopt quality assurance checklists that validate conformance to Amazon, Industry, and jurisdictional standards during critical milestone checks for design, construction, and cabling activities.
You'll bring the voice of the customer forward by gathering feedback from internal stakeholders and refining quality processes based on their needs.

You'll verify that designs and construction meet standards by reviewing documentation and data from milestone inspections. You'll document and align design standards and standard operating procedures as new technology integrates into our infrastructure. You'll also conduct training with partner teams to ensure consistent execution across all projects.


This role matters because design and construction quality directly impacts data center reliability and customer experience. You'll own the quality process from participating in early design reviews through training delivery, ensuring our infrastructure meets the standards our customers depend on.
Key job responsibilities
- Support Quality Assurance related programs to drive world-class quality in network infrastructure design of new Data Centers to achieve the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world.

The Network Infra Quality Engineer - Design will be obsessed with quality, engineering, and design continuous improvements
- Partner with the Information Communication Technology Design team to ensure network pathway infrastructure designs align with Data Center Construction build plans
- Support and maintain updates of Quality Assurance documents including inspection checklists and installation requirements from design specifications, Global Design Standards documents, Global Installation Best Practice Guidelines, Product Specifications for Inside Plant Cabling, Basis of Design and Quality Issue trackers.
- Partner with the Information Communication Technology Design team and New Product Development team to implement review mechanisms for new designs and design updates to identify installation gaps and create standard operating procedures to manage remediation plans
- Monitor deployments and collect lessons learned on network pathway quality
- Conduct Network Pathway Infrastructure Quality Training Programs to support stakeholders and as reference guidelines for vendors.
- Support quality and operational metrics to effectively measure performance and success
- Regional and Local Travel up to 25% to perform site visits and meetings for onsite quality standards review and collect feedback from onsite personnel
