ICU Registered Nurse – Critical Care Float Pool Travel Assignment in Columbus, Ohio

Join a dynamic Critical Care Float Pool as a Travel ICU Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH 43210. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the chance to support multiple intensive care units, strengthen your critical care experience, and work in a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare environment in the heart of Columbus.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience using the Epic charting system
  • Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
  • Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Ability to work nights and float to equivalent or lower-acuity critical care units
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care in a variety of ICU settings based on staffing needs and patient acuity
  • Deliver safe, high-quality care for adult critical care patients with complex diagnoses
  • Float to units such as Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, and CVICU as assigned
  • Monitor ventilated patients and manage advanced critical care interventions
  • Support procedures and therapies including arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drip titration
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all unit and hospital protocols
