Job description

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to help scale Healia through its next stage of growth. In this role, you'll own the company's financial operations, planning, reporting, and compliance functions while serving as a key thought partner to the leadership team. You'll build the financial foundation that enables smart decision-making, operational excellence, and long-term success. If you're excited about wearing multiple hats, influencing company strategy, and building scalable processes in a fast-growing startup environment, we'd love to meet you.

Your responsibilities will include…
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, delivering accurate reporting and actionable insights to leadership and investors.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and growth initiatives.
  • Accounting & Controls: Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations, establish strong financial controls, review financial records for accuracy, and ensure consistency across all financial processes.
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner closely with company leadership to evaluate opportunities, assess business performance, support decision-making, and drive operational improvements across the organization.
  • Investor Reporting: Prepare board materials, investor updates, and financial analyses that provide transparency into company performance, key metrics, and future outlook.
  • Compliance & Operations: Manage critical compliance, legal, and administrative functions, coordinating with external partners to ensure the company remains compliant, organized, and operationally efficient.
You'll be successful in this role if you…
  • 6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or related functions within high-growth startups or technology companies
  • Have been the first finance hire at a Series A company or a senior finance leader (#2 finance hire or above) at a Series B+ company
  • Strong experience with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial modeling
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating across finance, compliance, legal, and operational functions
  • Possess a high level of ownership, resourcefulness, and bias toward action
Bonus points
  • Experience supporting venture-backed startups through fundraising processes
  • Experience working closely with boards and institutional investors
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent financial certification
  • Experience overseeing payroll, compliance, or legal operations in an early-stage company
  • Experience in healthcare, healthtech, or other regulated industries
