Overview: Fulltime, benefits eligible role Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm The Lead Population Health Data Analyst is a senior individual contributor and technical leader responsible for designing and executing advanced analytics to evaluate population health programs and inform strategic decision-making. This role partners directly with business, clinical, and operational leaders to define analytic questions, develop evaluation methodologies, and measure the impact of interventions across healthcare populations. This individual will serve as an internal expert in program evaluation and causal inference, applying rigorous statistical and quasi-experimental methods (e.g., propensity score matching, difference-in-differences) to healthcare data, including claims and electronic medical record (EMR) data. Job Description Summary: Organizes and analyzes complex or large data sets to develop insights and predictive models in support of research, operation, and clinical care at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Essential Functions: Collects and organizes large and complex sets of data from various sources. Leverages structured and unstructured data sets to create analytical solutions using statistical and predictive analysis, natural language processing, geospatial analysis, or machine learning techniques. Identifies patterns and trends in data to provide insights and recommendations. Communicates findings and results to stakeholders through reports and presentations. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and improve data-driven solutions. Stays up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data science techniques. Assists in the mentoring of less experienced staff. Education Requirement: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Clinical Informatics, Nurse Informatics, or a related discipline, required. Licensure Requirement: (not specified) Certifications: (not specified) Skills: Strong desire to learn and highly collaborative. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts. Experience: Four years ofscripting language or software development experience using Python, R, MATLAB, or SAS etc., required. Four years of data manipulation and analysis using Python, R, MATLAB, or SAS etc., required. Four years of relevant data analytics experience in one or more of the following areas: statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and geospatial analytics, required. Some experience working with healthcare data, preferred.
