Curious minds are encouraged to apply!*Please note that for the first year, when not out on sites, this role will work from our office., We have a flexplace policy offered following the first year of employment. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Investigate and analyze mechanical devices, products and designs Conduct field investigations and perform forensic engineering & failure/accident analysis on incidents involving all types of machinery, mechanical equipment and devices including cranes, presses, pressure vessels and hydraulic, pneumatic systems, etc.Conduct unbiased investigations for various clientsResponsible for retention and development of client relationshipsProvide technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms, both verbally and in written reportsSupport conclusions by appropriate testimony in legal proceedings.Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groupsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesAbility to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performanceRegular and predictable presence at work  Position Requirements:B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering fieldP. E. registration through testing or ability to attain quickly Knowledge of machine design and mechanical systemsMinimum of three years industry engineering experienceExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsStrong writing and public speaking skills Physical Requirements:Ability to travel 35% of the time Ability to lift 50 lbsAbility to carry equipment to and from job sitesAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingAbility to maneuver in and around an accident siteAbility to drive in all conditions Ability to fly on airplanesAbility to visually inspect job sites and relevant artifactsAbility to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work siteAbility to learn a new industry and obtain required certificationsS-E-A places a strong value on employee health and wellness across the company.
