Job description

Pegasus Staffing Partners is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to lead plant-level financial operations and support strategic business initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader with strong operational finance experience and a background in manufacturing environments. The role is on-site 5 days a week to allow for collaboration with manufacturing, inventory, and operations. 

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving financial performance, improving operational efficiencies, and partnering closely with plant leadership to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all plant-level financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis
  • Partner with plant leadership to evaluate manufacturing performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Conduct detailed analysis of production costs, inventory levels, labor, and material consumption
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes for the facility
  • Support internal and external audit activities
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Assess operational and financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Develop, mentor, and lead plant accounting and finance staff
  • Provide financial insight and recommendations to support operational decision-making
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within accounting and finance processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Prior manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and operational finance
  • Experience with ERP systems required; Infor Syteline experience is a strong plus
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA highly preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
