Job description

JOB TITLE: Project Manager (Commercial Construction)
This position may require U.S. citizenship due to client and/or government project requirements.
JOB SUMMARY:
Setterlin Building Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from award through final completion.
This role is responsible for overall project success - including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution - while working closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and clients. Projects typically range from $1M-$20M across commercial, corporate, and institutional markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall performance
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and subcontractors
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Support field teams to drive safe and efficient project execution
  • Represent Setterlin professionally in all client and project interactions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Proven experience managing projects in the $1M-$20M range
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management
  • Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to project sites across Central and Southern Ohio
  • Stable employment history demonstrating reliability and commitment

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS:
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Support Superintendents in maintaining safe job sites
  • Participate in and reinforce jobsite safety culture

  • Support and mentor Project Engineers and junior team members
