Job description

KDC/One Lead Compounder Position

Kdc/one is currently hiring at our Groveport, Ohio location. As part of the kdc/one network, we are the leading best-in-class producer of beauty and personal care products! Our Groveport location is accessible with an easy commute located on RT. 33/Hamilton Rd.

What Are We Looking For?
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with proficiency in math and reading comprehension.
  • Minimum of five years compounding experience in chemical processing/manufacturing environment required.
  • Compounding/processing, pre-weigh or sanitization experience preferred.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to promote and participate in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to adapt to rotating assignments with a positive attitude and results.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical methods and technical skills.
  • Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMP's) and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, team building and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to understand and complete procedure documents in accordance with SOPs and WIs.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to use measuring and testing devices.

This Position Is Responsible For:
  • Performs, leads, and assigns the activities of compounding department to ensure performance expectations and production schedules are met timely and with the highest level of quality.
  • Reviews, identifies and resolves errors/discrepancies within SAP and the Manufacturing Instruction Packets.
  • Identifies and recommends new equipment and/or methods to improve productivity and capacity.
  • Communicates performance expectations to department employees and delivers feedback as required.
  • Collaborates with other departments to improve operations and participates in special projects as requested.
  • Conducts investigation on batching issues, incidents and deviations to assure that root causes are identified and appropriate corrective action actions are taken and/or implemented.
  • Performs all work in a manner that is consistent with the company's quality system and FDA good manufacturing practices, includes maintaining a clean and orderly area at all times.
  • Follows, promotes and enforces KDC's safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures.
  • Assists the safety department and safety committee with investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents.
  • Verifies all compounding employees have received necessary training and are following all applicable SOP's, Work Instructions, and cGMPs procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
