Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Experience in Emergency Room, ER Observation, ER holding, or Med-Surg/Telemetry required
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing education required
- Ability to work nights in a high-acuity, interdisciplinary healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in an Emergency Department Observation Unit and ER holding setting
- Monitor telemetry, assess dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer IV medications, including insulin and heparin protocols
- Support patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen therapy, and other non-invasive airway management
- Administer blood products and assist with central line, PICC, port, and arterial line care
- Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and other complex bedside nursing interventions
- Utilize rapid response and code team resources when urgent patient needs arise
- Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
