Job Summary
As a CCX (Coextruded) Operator, you will be responsible for slitting coextruded plastic films. These high-tech, multi-layered materials are fused together during the extrusion process to create protective barriers commonly used in food and medical packaging. This role requires precision, as machine settings and blades must be adjusted to accommodate varying material densities and thicknesses while maintaining quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and organized work area and warehouse.
Follow all company safety policies and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
Maintain company quality standards.
Start and operate slitting machines while monitoring production.
Run the number of sets specified on the Slitting Ticket.
Verify machine setup by comparing it to the web diagram.
Accurately label all rolls produced.
Enter production data into the production reporting system.
Make machine adjustments during production runs to correct issues identified during inspection.
Review packing specifications to ensure customer requirements are met.
Inspect film for defects such as star patterns, core alignment, edge weave, width issues, and debris.
Transport materials and finished goods when a material handler is unavailable.
Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting, reporting issues to the supervisor.
Set and adjust blades to ensure smooth, clean cuts.
Update inventory and maintain job history in the logbook for effective shift communication.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Forklift experience required.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times throughout an 8-hour shift.
