Shift: 6am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Pay: $25-$27/hour ; Overtime: $37.50-$40.50/hour

Job Description

The Slitting Operator supports pharmaceutical manufacturing operations within a highly regulated clean room environment. This role sets up, operates, and monitors slitting equipment to convert specialty raw materials into finished rolls while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality standards. The Slitting Operator works closely with Production and Quality Assurance teams to ensure products meet specifications, documentation is accurate, and safety and cleanliness requirements are consistently maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor slitting machinery to convert raw materials into finished rolls according to work orders and product specifications.
  • Perform machine setup activities, including material changeovers, adjustments, and alignment to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Clean and maintain slitting equipment as required to support reliable operation and compliance with clean room and pharmaceutical standards.
  • Inspect materials and finished rolls throughout the production process to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Accurately complete production records, batch documentation, labels, and inventory transactions to maintain traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on slitting equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions or issues to maintenance or supervision.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all safety requirements at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with pharmaceutical clean room standards.
  • Handle, move, and transport materials safely while maintaining product integrity, correct labelling, and full traceability.
  • Operate and monitor automated production, packaging, or processing equipment used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure product quality, adherence to production schedules, and efficient workflow.
  • Support general production activities such as packaging, filling, inspection, and packaging line operations when required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.

This is a direct hire position which includes internal benefits, PTO, and Holiday from day one.
