Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Slitter/Laminator Operator to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating slitting and laminating machinery to produce high-quality products according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will safely operate equipment, perform quality inspections, complete production documentation, and maintain production standards while following all company safety policies.
A valid Sit-Down Forklift Certification is required for this position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor slitting and laminating machines according to production specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials using a sit-down forklift.
- Thread materials through machines and adjust machine settings for proper width, alignment, tension, temperature, and pressure.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and production efficiency.
- Inspect finished products to verify dimensions, appearance, and quality standards.
- Identify and report product defects, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, blade inspections, and minor adjustments.
- Complete production paperwork, inspection reports, and production logs accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, SOPs, GMP requirements, and quality standards.
- Work closely with supervisors and production team members to meet daily production goals.
- Perform miscellaneous production, warehouse, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience is preferred but not required.
- Sit-Down Forklift Certification is required.
- Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift throughout the shift.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely move and handle production materials.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
