Job description

Location: City of Industry, CA
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Slitter/Laminator Operator to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating slitting and laminating machinery to produce high-quality products according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will safely operate equipment, perform quality inspections, complete production documentation, and maintain production standards while following all company safety policies.

A valid Sit-Down Forklift Certification is required for this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor slitting and laminating machines according to production specifications.
  • Load and unload raw materials using a sit-down forklift.
  • Thread materials through machines and adjust machine settings for proper width, alignment, tension, temperature, and pressure.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and production efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products to verify dimensions, appearance, and quality standards.
  • Identify and report product defects, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, blade inspections, and minor adjustments.
  • Complete production paperwork, inspection reports, and production logs accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, SOPs, GMP requirements, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with supervisors and production team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Perform miscellaneous production, warehouse, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience is preferred but not required.
  • Sit-Down Forklift Certification is required.
  • Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and production specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely move and handle production materials.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing/production facility.
  • 2nd Shift
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all company safety policies.
