Technician – Prototype Vehicle Builds (Multiple Tracks)

We are seeking motivated Technicians to support prototype vehicle builds in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Candidates may be considered for one or more tracks based on skills, experience, and interest: Welding Technician, Vehicle Assembly Technician, and Paint Technician.

Experience is preferred, but at the entry level, attitude, accountability, and consistency are critical.

Technician Tracks

Welding Technician Track

Summary:
This track focuses on MIG/TIG welding for prototype vehicle structures and components, supporting fabrication and structural modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG/TIG welding on prototype vehicle structures and components
• Follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld specifications
• Support fabrication, fit-up, and structural modifications as designs evolve
• Inspect weld quality and ensure compliance with standards
• Work closely with engineering and build teams to address issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior welding experience (automotive or similar industry preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Understanding of weld symbols and measurement tools

Vehicle Assembly Technician Track

Summary:
This track focuses on assembling prototype vehicles according to engineering specifications, including mechanical, electrical, and interior components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble prototype vehicles according to engineering specifications
• Install mechanical, electrical, and interior components
• Troubleshoot fitment and part issues during builds
• Perform rework and adjustments as designs evolve
• Maintain build quality while meeting daily targets

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude or prior assembly experience
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Ability to read basic work instructions or diagrams

Paint Technician Track

Summary:
This track focuses on preparing and refinishing vehicle surfaces, ensuring a high-quality appearance and finish on prototype builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces (sanding, masking, cleaning)
• Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat finishes
• Perform touch-ups and refinishing as required
• Ensure quality standards for appearance and finish
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Automotive paint/refinish experience preferred
• Knowledge of paint systems and spray equipment
• Strong attention to detail and finish quality
