Job description

Test Engineer (Entry-Level)

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) seeks a Test Engineer (Entry-Level) to join our team in Heath, OH (35 minutes East of Columbus, Ohio) that produces hardware for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy Guidance, and other military programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems.
  • Assist in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan.
  • Develop solutions to calibration systems problems.
  • Perform data analysis, develop and utilize data processing tools.
  • Design simple component level hardware or software.
  • Use analytical tools to verify design.
  • Verify collection of complete data sets.
  • Maintain test logs, prepare simple test report and archive data.

This position is expected to be worked fullyonsite in Heath, OH.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Related engineering experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
  • If not already within commuting distance to Heath, OH, willingness and ability to relocate at your own expense.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of military hardware.
  • Experience starting production lines.
  • Understanding of nonconformance processes.
  • Experience with vibration and thermal stress test setups.
  • Schematic experience.
  • Production support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting analog and digital electronic devices.
