This position will get you started on your career as a consulting engineer and to becoming a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).

As a consulting engineer, your task is to design and analyze the following building systems and prepare the drawings and specifications for bidding and construction by contractors:
  • 480/277v and 208/120v power distribution systems
  • Emergency power distribution systems
  • Diesel and natural gas fueled emergency generators
  • Inverters and UPS systems
  • Solar power PV energy generation systems
  • Lighting design for parking lots, roadway, and exterior areas
  • Lighting design for all types of interior spaces
  • Lighting control systems- auto sensing, dimming, color control
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Providing power to mechanical systems
  • Nurse Call and medical telemetry systems
  • Writing descriptive system narratives
  • Writing and editing specifications in CSI format

Our responsibilities include interpreting and applying local and national code requirements and other design standards to ensure the safety of the public in the use of electrical systems in commercial buildings.
To be successful in this position, it is necessary to possess:

  • Good social skills, as you represent our company at client meetings
  • Willingness to learn new skills and to work towards continuous improvement

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or another Engineering degree with significant course work or work experience related to Electrical Engineering
  • New Graduate or 1 to 3 years of experience
  • Must be interested in pursuing professional registration
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States and authorized to work on a full-time basis. No visa sponsorship available at this time.
