Job description

Envocore, LLC is an established national leader engaged in the engineering, designing and installation of energy-efficient systems. Our company designs and installs projects for a wide range of Government, Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Medical, Institutional and Retail facilities across the United States.

Summary:

Under direct supervision, performs entry-level construction and installation activities associated with commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Responsibilities include material staging, racking assembly, module installation support, site housekeeping, and safe operation of hand and power tools while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reports to Crew Leader, General Foreman, and/or Construction Manager to receive daily assignments.
  • Assists in the installation of commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic systems.
  • Assists with unloading, staging, inventorying, and organizing solar materials and equipment.
  • Performs basic assembly and installation of racking systems, module mounting hardware, and other solar system components.
  • Assists with installation of photovoltaic modules in accordance with project drawings and manufacturer specifications.
  • Utilizes hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used in solar construction.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Supports quality control efforts by identifying damaged materials and reporting installation deficiencies.
  • Assists with loading and unloading of company vehicles and project deliveries.
  • Complies with all company safety requirements, site-specific safety plans, and customer requirements.
  • Maintains required personal hand tools and protective equipment.
  • Works on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by project leadership.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous construction, electrical, solar, roofing, or mechanical experience preferred but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates willing to learn and travel will be considered.

Language Ability

  • Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures, installation instructions, and basic construction drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Math Ability

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurements using standard construction tools.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to recognize and report safety concerns and installation issues.

Computer Skills

  • None required.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred or ability to obtain after hire.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Frequently works from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and other elevated work platforms.
  • May be exposed to dust, noise, vibration, and moving mechanical equipment.
  • Noise levels are typically moderate to high depending on project activities.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, climb, and work with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment.
  • Must be able to work extended shifts outdoors and remain productive in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items exceeding 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors used in electrical wiring and markings.
  • Must be capable of working at heights and on uneven ground.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours: 7am-5:30pm
