Junior Business Analyst

Columbus, OH

We are looking to connect with entry-level talent looking for employment in January 2027! This role is an entry level position requiring the individual to be driven, well-organized and curious. They must be self-motivated and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The team will look to this individual to aid in the management of finance and data analytics, vendor management, procurement, process documentation mapping and training guide development, as well as finance process management, automation, and optimization.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with O365 products to drive data analytics, reporting, and financial results.
  • Experience creating process maps.
  • Advanced skillset utilizing MS PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and create processes or recommend changes to processes.
  • Ability to schedule and negotiate with end users to achieve desired results through stakeholder engagement and project management.

  • Experience communicating with senior and executive management.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience analyzing datasets.
  • Ability to collect, form, analyze, and disseminate information with accuracy through hyper organizational skills and attention to detail to improve the effectiveness of the department and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Use statistical methods to interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reporting.
  • Use data to create models that depict trends in portfolio financials and operational effectiveness.
  • Identify and recommend new ways to meet the BMO financial processes, problem resolution, and mitigate risk.
  • Facilitate meetings to review data findings and metrics.
  • Develop and update documentation to support new / changes to procedures.
  • Develop, generate, maintain, and monitor reports and files.
  • Consolidate and create monthly decks providing financial status.
  • Collaborate with the finance team regarding infrastructure financials.
  • Maintains, monitors, updates assigned business process and/or systems.
  • Research complex problems and acts independently to resolve.
  • Analyzes existing business process and or systems and determines technical or procedural improvements and implements changes.
  • Develops and provides documentation for users and training purposes.
  • Develops operational procedures for products, services and systems supported.
  • Designs processes to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and generates specialized and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyzes reports and makes recommendations for improvements in processes and /or systems.
