Job description

A leading automotive organization in Raymond, OH is seeking a Software (Automation) Engineer to support automation initiatives within a vehicle development team.

This role focuses on building and maintaining automated workflows, enhancing data management, and improving reporting capabilities through Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to reduce manual processes
  • Build and support SharePoint-based solutions, including Lists, Forms, document management, and workflow automation
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights, metrics, and project visibility
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
  • Integrate data across multiple systems and platforms to support reporting and business intelligence initiatives
  • Implement automation using technologies such as REST APIs, PowerShell, Python, and other scripting tools
  • Support and enhance Jira workflow automation and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Confluence)
  • Create documentation, training materials, and user guides for developed solutions
  • Provide ongoing technical support for Power Platform, SharePoint, and automation-related tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet project goals and timelines

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated workflows and processes
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations, REST APIs, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate processes and recommend improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet defined timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience in automotive or vehicle development environments
  • Basic project management skills, including timeline planning and task prioritization
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in team environments
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with a willingness to explore innovative solutions

Contract: 12 months with extensions

Location: Raymond, OH (5 days onsite)

Rate: 40-48/hr DOE
