Distribution Center Lead 
Direct Hire

Location: Groveport, Ohio
Pay: $26–$28 per hour
 

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Lead to support a rapidly growing distribution operation in Groveport, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who excels in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and is committed to driving operational success.

Schedule:

  • Second Shift: 2:30pm – 11:00 PM (plus mandatory overtime as needed)
  • Mandatory overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs; candidates must be flexible.

Position Summary: The Distribution Center Lead will oversee daily warehouse operations, providing leadership, guidance, and support to a team of associates while ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. This individual will act as a key liaison between management and employees, fostering a positive and accountable work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations to achieve productivity, quality, and customer service goals.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to associates throughout the shift.
  • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and production metrics.
  • Promote, enforce, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
  • Train and onboard new employees.
  • Communicate shift priorities, expectations, and operational updates.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Assist with inventory control and accuracy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management to address attendance, performance, and employee relations concerns.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience as a Lead, Team Lead, Shift Lead, or Supervisor is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and hold team members accountable.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory systems is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being active on the warehouse floor.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting and moving materials.
