Job Summary:
MDAEdge is a company focused on ensuring the stability and resilience of IT infrastructure. They are seeking an IT Continuity & Resilience Engineer to manage backup solutions, lead disaster recovery plans, and collaborate with various teams to optimize continuity strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the stability, security, and resilience of company IT infrastructure across NY, OH, and CA sites.
• Focus on backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability.
• Work with infrastructure, security, and business teams to plan and optimize continuity strategies.
• Solve problems quickly while building maintainable, scalable solutions.
• Work independently toward goals and collaborate well under pressure.
• Build and manage backup solutions to protect data integrity and availability.
• Lead and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Perform regular DR testing and validate recovery objectives.
• Maintain clear documentation for DR strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with security on data protection and compliance best practices.
• Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networking, and cloud systems.
• Implement high-availability, failover, and load balancing for critical systems.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and uptime to meet service levels.
• Automate and optimize to improve reliability and efficiency.

• Align continuity and infrastructure strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's in information systems or computer science preferred, or 5+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years in IT infrastructure engineering and support.
• Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, systems engineering, or business continuity.
• Strong knowledge of backups, replication, and recovery tools.
• Deep skills in networking, storage, virtualization, and high availability.
• Experience with automation and orchestration for DR and failover.
• Understanding of NIST, GxP, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Effective under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in midsize enterprise environments.
Preferred:
• Experience with Arcserve is a plus.
