Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy of all finished goods, ingredients, packaging, and other items related to warehouse operations. This includes managing physical inventories, conducted monthly or as needed, and overseeing the warehouse support staff and associates.
This role combines hands-on responsibilities with a supervisory function. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that proper processes and staffing are in place to supply production with ingredients, process and store inbound loads, pick and prepare outbound loads, and maintain an orderly and accurate warehouse environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises all shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
  • Maintains visibility and accessibility to employees on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.
  • Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes orders to be picked or shipped during the shift. Prepares documents such as packing lists, bills of lading, pick tickets, and certificates of analysis. Ensures team members have the necessary documents to fulfill tasks and move inventory efficiently.
  • Ensures accurate picking of products in the correct quantities for shipments or work orders.
  • Uses computer systems to maintain alignment between physical inventory movements and digital records.
  • Manages receiving, shipping, and work order flow through the ERP system.
  • Utilizes dock scheduling software to prepare for inbound and outbound loads.
  • Generates pallet/carton labels for received items and accurately affixes labels to raw ingredients using the WMS system for proper identification.
  • Ensures paper and digital records are filed correctly for future reference, including for food safety audits and invoicing inquiries.
  • Manages personnel matters such as vacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
  • Performs administrative tasks, including preparing required reports and correspondence.
  • Assists with inventory activities, supervising the inventory control process, including stock takes and spot checks.
  • Manages safety programs and ensures required safety training for the crew.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and dock areas.
  • Performs other duties as necessary to support the achievement of New Horizons Food Solutions LLC business objectives.
  • Completes and demonstrates competency in all required FSQA, safety, and job training.
  • Adheres to all company rules, follows safety programs, wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensures safe work practices.
  • Reports and takes action to prevent food safety, legality, and quality issues.
  • Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to ensure compliance with GFSI Global Standard for Food Safety and other third-party audits.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (preferred).
  • Strong inventory control skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing or food manufacturing (preferred).
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish, Swahili, or Kinyarwanda) preferred but not required.
