Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Asset Data Administrator - Level 1  to support the implementation of a new equipment management system, UPTIME. This role will be responsible for collecting, validating, and migrating equipment and asset data from an existing system (MAPCON) into UPTIME.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working with spreadsheets and forms, and capable of gathering information from equipment and machines located throughout the facility. Technical expertise with either system is not required, as training and support will be provided by both internal team members and UPTIME representatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Extract and compile asset and equipment information from the existing MAPCON database.
  • Utilize Excel spreadsheets and UPTIME-provided forms to organize and prepare data for migration.
  • Conduct on-site equipment inventories and gather required information directly from machines and assets.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of asset records before importing data into the new UPTIME system.
  • Enter, upload, and maintain equipment data within UPTIME according to established guidelines.
  • Work closely with internal subject matter experts who will assist in locating equipment information and explaining existing records.
  • Coordinate with UPTIME support personnel to ensure all required forms and documentation are completed accurately.
  • Identify missing or inconsistent data and follow up with appropriate resources to obtain the necessary information.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation throughout the migration process.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and data entry processes.
  • Ability to organize large amounts of information and maintain data integrity.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to move throughout a facility and collect information from equipment and machines.
  • Previous experience with asset management, inventory management, maintenance systems, or data migration projects is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with databases or equipment inventory records.
  • Familiarity with importing and managing data in software applications.
