Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Store Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing store designs that align with our brand identity and enhance the customer experience. This role involves working closely with various departments, such as real estate, construction, procurement, visual merchandising and store operations, to ensure store layouts are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally efficient.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Manages the planning and implementation of Global Real Estate projects through store design which includes all new stores, existing fleet remodels, and closures.
  • Designs effective store layouts that optimize space utilization, and consistently adapts and translates store prototypes to various site conditions and locations.
  • Coordinates end-to-end project workflow by meeting project deadlines, including feasibility studies, proposed store planning, and approved store implementation.
  • Project manages design budget and pre-construction process; effectively supervises architect, engineer, external vendors and permit execution to ensure key project milestones are met efficiently and on time.
  • Clearly and effectively communicates with internal and external partners to successfully facilitate the implementation of store designs.
  • Prepares detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, select renderings, shop drawings and landlord documentation, etc. as needed.

What Do You Need To Bring?

  • Bachelor's degreein Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Design, or related experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience in retail design or similar role.
  • Proficiency in design software in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-up or similar.
  • Knowledgeable of general domestic & international code restrictions
  • General understanding of constructability
  • Strong understanding of retail design principles, visual merchandising, and customer behavior.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organized with ability to prioritize and forecast into challenges and/or opportunities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of diverse business partners.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Energetic, positive, creative problem solving with a solution-based outlook.
  • Self-motivated - ability to work independently and drive results
