Job description

Pay: $23.09 per hour

Work schedule: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts (Day & Night)

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain safety and security: Search for contraband, monitor assigned areas, and help keep the facility secure.
  • Supervise daily routines: Count, feed, and supervise inmates in housing, work, and other assigned areas.
  • Observe and respond: Provide custody and security through ongoing observation and appropriate communication.
  • Document accurately: Prepare and maintain required records, forms, and reports.
  • Support facility operations: Assist in areas such as commissary, property, transportation, recreation, mail room, laundry, visitation, booking, main control, housing, segregation, intake, administration, or food services as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • License: Valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
  • Clearance: Approval for hire by ODRC and continued facility security clearance required.
  • Training: Successful completion of annual in-service training requirements.
