HiFyve is hiring a Controls Technician in the Manufacturing industry in Columbus, OH!


Pay: $34–$36/hr + $0.50/hr shift differential

Shift: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (Mon–Fri + mandatory OT)

Location: Columbus, OH

About the Role

This role supports plant operations through electrical and automation troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment.


Job Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Support PLC and robot programming/troubleshooting
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment
  • Install and modify control panels, relays, and electrical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Support equipment upgrades, installations, and improvement projects
  • Maintain documentation and ensure system updates are captured
  • Follow all safety procedures including LOTO and electrical standards

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 1–2+ years of related experience
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and controls knowledge
  • Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automation systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
