Job description

At TechSite, we are committed to keeping our customers' mission-critical facilities running smoothly, ensuring you can stay connected and operate with confidence. We expertly plan, design, build, test, operate, and maintain these essential spaces, aiming to maximize reliability and efficiency with speed, expertise, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

We’re expanding our commissioning team and looking for Commissioning Agents who are passionate about ensuring high-performance facilities function flawlessly. If you’ve worked with complex mechanical or electrical systems and want to break into (or grow within) the data center and mission-critical space, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

As a Commissioning Agent, you’ll support the testing, validation, and performance of critical systems to ensure they operate as designed. Depending on your experience level, you’ll:

  • Execute and support commissioning of mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Review construction documents and validate system performance
  • Develop and contribute to commissioning reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project teams
  • Work in environments where uptime and reliability are critical

What You’ll Bring:

You don’t need to check every box—we care about your foundation, your problem-solving ability, and your willingness to learn. Coming in with technical training and/or direct experience in the installation and/or maintenance of electrical or mechanical infrastructure systems is a big plus.

Strong candidates may come from:

  • Mission-critical environments
  • Data Centers (ideal but not required)
  • Hospitals
  • Control Centers
  • Field service or technical troubleshooting roles in
  • Commercial or industrial HVAC
  • Commercial or industrial Power distribution

You likely have:

  • Experience working with mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think critically in the field
  • Comfort working with technical documentation and creating reports
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Why Join TechSite?

  • Competitive Pay: $68-150k, depending on experience. We’re hiring across multiple experience levels—from beginning-career professionals to seasoned commissioning experts. Compensation is flexible and will align with your background, skills, and impact.
  • Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans
  • Paid Time Off: Generous vacation, sick leave, and flexible time off
  • Company Culture: On-site fitness center, office contests, team outings, and a collaborative work environment
  • Career Growth: Professional development and continuing education opportunities
  • Recognition: We’ve been nominated multiple years as a "Best Place to Work"—join a team that values collaboration and excellence.

Travel Note:

While the majority of our projects are located in Central Ohio, occasional travel to more distant project sites may be required. Approximately 80% of this role is performed on client sites.

Ready to make an impact?

If you’re looking for a role where you can grow your technical skills, work on meaningful projects, and be part of a team that’s scaling quickly—we’d love to connect.
