Commercial Lines Account Executive - Insurance Agency - Base Salary to 90k/year - Columbus, OH

  • Our client, an established independent insurance agency, is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive to manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. This role focuses on client retention, policy management, and coverage strategy—working closely with carriers and insureds to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
  • This is a client-facing service role (non-producer) supporting community association clients, including condominium and homeowners' associations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service a book of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring strong client retention and satisfaction
  • Oversee the full renewal lifecycle including marketing, quoting, binding, and policy delivery
  • Analyze client risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions (General Liability, Property, Umbrella, Directors & Officers, etc.)
  • Market new and renewal business to carriers to obtain competitive quotes and coverage terms
  • Review policies, endorsements, audits, and coverage changes for accuracy and completeness
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on coverage, claims, and risk management strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and internal team members
  • Identify opportunities for account rounding, cross-selling, and coverage enhancements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing and servicing commercial insurance accounts within an insurance agency or brokerage environment
  • Active Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license in the state of Ohio
  • Experience handling renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and client service activities
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule (2–3 days per week in the Columbus, OH office)

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 70k - 90k/year range
