Job description

Join our team at Starting Point Learning Center, a school inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, in the role of Studio Facilitator. This part-time position is crucial in fostering a creative and enriching educational environment.

Our program runs August-May and the work hours are M-F 9:00am-12 pm


Key Responsibilities of the Studio Facilitator:

  • Work collaboratively with children and educators to enhance the material and aesthetic aspects of the curriculum, guiding them in their creative use of materials. Support teachers in documentation practices and enriching the curriculum through work with small groups in both classroom and studio settings.
  • Maintain the studio space, ensuring it is well-equipped and stocked for teacher and small group activities, including material procurement.
  • Support teachers in designing and creating physical classroom environments that promote community and optimal learning experiences.
  • Provide assistance to teachers through individual mentoring sessions and group workshops.
  • Oversee the visual representation of children's work in partnership with teachers and staff, contributing to the creation of documentation panels showcasing children's learning journeys and ideas.
  • Ensure that curriculum documentation, with a focus on IB unit integration, is prominently displayed in classrooms and communal areas.


Qualifications:- A passion for working with children in an educational setting

- Experience in collaborative work with educators and children

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Knowledge of Reggio Emilia and IB educational approaches is preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Ability to maintain a creative and inspiring studio space
