Job description

Full-Stack Software Engineer

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer with PPG your expertise in Angular, C#/.NET, SQL, and Azure DevOps will contribute to the success of this team. You will develop scalable web applications across the full technology stack. You will collaborate with teams to provide high-quality solutions that support our needs and improve system performance. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Systems Manager, you will work on-site at our facility in Delaware, Ohio. The end customer of all applications are plant operations staff and for that reason, this is a full-time, in-person position at the Delaware, Ohio coatings plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote web applications using Angular, C#/.NET, and SQL Server.
  • Design and implement APIs, business logic, and data models.
  • Build responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces.
  • Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, version control, and work item management.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the application stack and optimize system performance.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.
  • Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC) and change-management processes.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, and other partners to understand our requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support agile planning activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Provide informal technical leadership by mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and promoting coding standards.
  • Display a customer-focused mindset, always considering ease of use, safety, and operational impact.
  • Support and comply with all plant safety procedures, including required training and PPE expectations.
  • Design and supports systems with operational safety and data integrity in mind.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with Angular (v8), SQL Server and relational database design.
  • Proficiency in C#/.NET Core and API development.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing applications used in manufacturing, industrial, or operations environments.
