Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Data Scientist II will drive critical business impacts and play a key role to drive end-to-end data solutions for the business. This role requires that the employee understand business requirements, explore a large amount of historical data, and build machine learning predictive models to evaluate products and programs as well as identify areas of opportunity. The Data Scientist II will collaborate closely with engineering peers, developers, data architects as well as business stakeholders. This role requires an individual to work both independently and collaboratively.
Outcomes is dedicated to being a data-driven business. The Data Scientist II role will play a key role in creating mature ROI analyses used by the business to create, run and deliver on programs across the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the design and recommendation of analytical methodologies and approaches, implement analytics
  • Build Machine Learning models to generate business value. Models should align with priorities from the business related to, but not limited to:
    • CMR Lever logic, preferences, and patterns
    • New Data Product discovery initiatives (OTC, data products, etc.)
    • Thought Leadership metrics and presentations
    • Pharma pre-sales and program design
  • Identify business need and issues using SQL and languages like R, Python, and internal dashboards to drive short term fixes and long-term improvements
  • Transform technical outcomes and results into simple storylines to explain the solution to the business leads
  • Conduct maintenance, debug, unit-test, integration test, and document analytic and modeling processes
  • Support the data-led initiative by producing meaningful analyses to aid sales teams

KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in SQL, Python or R
  • Experience with BI Tools is a plus
  • Experience in the pharma or pharmacy space is a plus
  • Experience applying & implementing solutions with data science concepts
  • Hands-on experience working with large scale data and advanced analytics, including data discovery, business intelligence, data quality management, metadata management, and related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and data warehouses
  • Problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and ability to implement creative solutions that tackle business problems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum years of work experience: 3 years
  • Minimum level of education or education experience: Bachelors Degree
