Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join our Groveport, Ohio team. This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and plays a key part in supporting HR initiatives across all FARO facilities.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Onboarding Support
  • Prepare recruiting materials and new hire documentation
  • Schedule interviews and orientation sessions
  • Facilitate new hire orientations and complete I-9 verifications
  • Process employment applications for Ohio candidates
  • Assist with recruiting efforts for Ohio and other locations as needed
  • Provide administrative support (filing, scanning, copying)
Employee Engagement & Communication
  • Support HR programs such as Benefits Open Enrollment and Safety initiatives
  • Participate in committees (Safety, Wellness, Employee Activities, etc.)
  • Serve as back-up receptionist when needed
HR Administration
  • Assist with performance review processes
  • Process wage increases and pay progression documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee data in timekeeping and scheduling systems
  • Support job posting processes
  • Prepare termination documentation and ensure compliance with final pay requirements
  • Guide supervisors on HR policies and procedures
Compliance & Recordkeeping
  • Track completion of safety, ethics, and compliance training
  • Maintain and audit personnel files and HR records
  • Accurately file employee documentation
  • Monitor training, attendance, and performance-related records
  • Update employee status changes in HR systems (e.g., Workday)
  • Assist with leave of absence, ADA, and workers' compensation processes
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous Human Resources experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Experience with payroll systems is a plus
  • Strong multitasking skills across multiple systems and applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer navigation abilities
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
