Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Portfolio Manager to support the day-to-day management of fixed income portfolios for a diverse client base. This role will assist portfolio managers with trade execution, market analysis, portfolio monitoring, and strategy implementation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, a detail-oriented mindset, and a collaborative spirit to help meet client objectives and support the broader investment team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the management and trading of short-duration fixed income portfolios, including U.S. Treasuries, agencies, investment-grade corporates, municipals, securitized products, CDs, and money market instruments.
  • Assist in ensuring portfolios are managed consistently across accounts, aligning with target allocations and individual client guidelines.
  • Help maintain Broker-Dealer relationships and contribute to the execution of trades with a focus on market coverage and pricing efficiency.
  • Conduct research and analysis of fixed income sectors and individual securities, with attention to macroeconomic factors, interest rate outlooks, and sector fundamentals.
  • Provide analytical and operational support to senior portfolio managers and collaborate with client service and business development teams to deliver customized portfolio solutions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of fixed income strategies across LGIPs, Money Market Funds, and Separately Managed Accounts.
  • Contribute to internal reporting, market commentary, investment memos, and credit reviews as needed.
