Job Title:
Student AI Developer
Department:
OCIO | Infrastructure Services-JM
This isn't a typical student job where you just write or maintain code. You will be learning and using AI-assisted development (often called "vibe coding") to build real software solutions. You will work within a small team inside the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI), acting as an internal consultant sent out to help other University departments and colleges build what they need.
You will be interacting with faculty and staff all throughout campus so it will be far more than basic development. Canvas/educator awareness, relationship, triage, and communications skills are a must.
We will provide training on how to properly design, document, and build software by leveraging AI tools like Anthropic Claude, Amazon Kiro, and Google Gemini.
Additional Information:
The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $17.00/hour
