Provides daily ongoing deployment, configuration, support, administration, maintenance and technical solutions to various technology components that make up the IT Infrastructure environment.
Compensation Range for this Role: $79,965-$127,000 CAD (based on experience)
This role has the ability to work remotely in the Kitchener or London, ON area.
Additionally, this position requires the successful completion of a Government of Canada Reliability Clearance (PERC) as a condition of employment. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required clearance throughout their employment.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops or modifies IT Infrastructure to meet business objectives.
2. Maintain and implement technical solutions, specifications, and documentation for various sized projects or daily support initiatives.
3. Works with multiple customers, stakeholders, and system owners to produce requirements, determine feasibility, analyze cost/benefits requirements, and recommend design solution options.
4. Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
5. Completes routine preventative measures and maintains/monitoring network security.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Applicable experience includes Microsoft Azure, Linux Servers, Amazon AWS, Windows Servers, Active Directory, SQL Server, Network, Switching/Routing, Firewalls, Data Archival, LAN, WAN, VoIP, MPLS, Monitoring and Messaging Systems.

  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise scale systems with High Availability Configurations (Clustering, Load Balancing, Fault Tolerance, etc.), Systems Configuration Management, Optimization Tuning, and Monitoring. Preferred background working in security focused environments with skills in audit remediation and systems hardening. Experience with Scripting, Automation, Cisco UCS, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or PKI.

COMPETENCIES - SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
1. Strong analytical, judgment and problem solving skills.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
3. Strong interpersonal skills, interacts will with technical and non-technical clients.
4. In depth working knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, DHCP/DNS, TCP/IP, Windows Server, VMware Infrastructure, Storage Area Networks (Fiber channel, FCoE and iSCSI), server hardware familiarity include hardware virtualization, fiber channel switching.
5. Working knowledge of Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Hyper-Converged technologies.

6. Working knowledge of IBM MQ & Websphere
