Sr. MRB Engineer
Location: Columbus, GA (onsite)
Duration: Six-months +
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Perform design analysis and creating design dispositions for assembly manufacturing non-conformances, assessing different repair scenarios for fit, form and function
• Processing detail and sub assembly concessions from risk sharing partners and Final Assembly Lines.
• Perform design for repairs.
• Ability to identify the most efficient methods for analysis whilst ensuring adherence to relevant airworthiness and customer procedural requirements.
• Able to liaise with multiple functions/suppliers (e.g., Design/Stress approvers) to ensure most appropriate design solution is met with consideration to cost, time, performance and installation requirements.
• Experience and/or ability to be in a customer facing capacity.
Qualifications:
• Experience working on Boeing products and structures either directly or within the Supply Chain, for a minimum of three years and ideally having held a level of delegated technical approval.
• Knowledge of 737/777/787 or similar aircraft variant programs, preferably with both metallic and composite capabilities.
• Understanding of material properties, production & manufacturing methods and practices and their effect on aircraft performance.
• Working knowledge of CATIA V5 for interrogation and drawing/model modification.
• Previous Design Organization Approval (DOA) "Signature Authority" would be advantageous for the role.
• BS Degree from and ABET accredited institution is required.
• SAP knowledge.
